In a disappointing end to what has been an encouraging first year in Division 1 the Redditch Arrows were well beaten by
a strong Birmingham Bulls side in this their first ever meeting.
Birmingham controlled the game right from the start and the Arrows fell behind on the Bulls first drive. This lead was extended when on the Arrows
first possession they were forced to Punt only to see the snap go over the kickers head for a Bulls safety and a 9-0 first quarter lead.
The Arrows conceded a further safety when their running back was caught in the end zone and this coupled with a field goal opened and 2 further
touchdowns saw the Bulls in effect finish the game with a 28-0 half time lead.
The second half saw the Arrows come more into the match but they could not prevent the home team making 3 further scores and a final 48-0 result.
For the first time this year the Arrows were outplayed by their opponents. In all of their previous games, the Arrows have always been competitive
and could have easily won a couple of the games that they narrowly lost. The Arrows finished the season in Fourth place in the Northern conference with a 3 wins and 5 losses record.
