The Redditch Arrows lost their second game of the season against close neighbours Birmingham Bulls last Sunday 21-6.
In a close first half both teams struggled to put together any real offense, both teams turning the ball over far too frequently.
Birmingham had the majority of the play preventing the Arrows offense from showing any real form. This pressure finally saw the Arrows turn the ball deep in their own half. The Bulls
capitalised this when a 1 yard rush gave them a first quarter 7-0 lead. The Arrows responded in the second quarter when based on a strong passing game they marched almost the full
length of the field culminating in Anthony Perkins 3 yard rush to bring the Arrows to within 1point at 7-6. The Arrows again forced the Bulls to turn over the ball only to see the clock run
out with them encamped on the Bulls 5 yard line.
The second saw both teams again struggling on offense. By this time both defenses had now adjusted and were well on top. Again
mistakes by the Arrows were to be their downfall twice giving the ball to the Bulls inside the Arrows 40 yard line which allowed them to put the game away with further scores from 1 and 2
yards.
