In Sundays bottom of the table clash, a tightly fought match saw the Arrows fall to their 7th defeat of the season in a 16-0 home defeat to Lancashire Wolverines.
The game started with the Wolverines offense well on top and a fine 70 yard drive culminated in the opening score on a 2yard rush to give the visitors
a 8-0 lead. The Arrows fumbled the ensuing kick-off and a Wolverines recovery again forced the Arrows defense back onto the field. This time however the Arrows began to get the measure of their visitors
and held firm. From this point on both teams shared possession with defences mostly on top. The Arrows had one excellent chance to level the scores when they had fist and goal on the 6 yard line,
but a penalty and an interception saw the Arrows squander the chance.
Just as it looked as the Arrows would go into the half time interval with only an 8 point deficit the Wolverines produced the play on the game as time
expired with a 35 yard touchdown reception. This coupled with the successful 2 point conversion saw the Arrows go in 16-0 down.
The second half the Arrows again put together an excellent drive to give them the ball 1st and goal inside the 10. As in the first half the Arrows again failed to hit paydirt and another interception saw them turn the ball over.
The was the last time that the Arrows seriously threatened and the Wolverines took the opportunity to control the game and run out the clock.
