The 1991 season saw the Arrows invited to join the prestigious Budweiser League based on their past successes and also a return to their original home
at the Abbey Stadium. This saw them playing the highest standard of opposition that the Club had ever faced. The season proved to be difficult with varying levels of success with victories achieved
against Milton Keynes twice and Bolton . The other games resulted in losses however the Arrows were competitive in all of them and as the season progressed began to adapt to playing at the higher
level. The season ended with a challenge game against the United States Air Force team based at Chicksands. Chicksands took an early lead mainly due to the Arrows lack of experience of the type of
football they were playing and despite putting on a strong second half showing finally went down 36-14. It was agreed at the end of the season that the club would continue to play in the Budweiser League
rather than dropping to a lower league.
