The Arrows were again placed in the Budweiser League and two pre-season victories raised hopes that the season would be more successful than 1991.
Unfortunately the Arrows had to cease playing after only two games of the season due to several factors outside of their control. Firstly they were scheduled to visit Glasgow and Edinburgh and despite
protests to the league regarding the excessive travelling costs were told that this could not be changed. This had the result that several players decided not to participate that season leaving the
team with a smaller than normal squad. The first two games saw the Arrows suffer injuries to several key positions which meant that they would have had difficulty in fielding a team with a lot of
players playing out of position. It was therefore reluctantly decided to stop playing and reform in 1993. Several of the players decided to move to other teams with the intention of re-joining
the team the following season. Whilst the decision to stop was unfortunate on reflection there was no other option due to the safety aspects had they continued.
