The 1994 season again saw the Arrows again play pre-season for the County Bowl against Hereford and run out 19-0 winners. This was the last
staging of this event due to the demise of Hereford and no other team within Hereford and Worcester being formed. The regular season saw disappointing early defeats against St Helens twice away from
home and a shock 16-20 defeat by Derbyshire in which the Arrows led 16-0 at half time. Despite this the Arrows pushed the eventual champions Chester all of the way finally conceding the title by a half
game. The Arrows actually played Chester 3 times this season posting 2 wins and a tie including a crushing 33-0 defeat of the then already champions. The final regular season game against Chester was the
100th game that the club had played and the result was representative of the success that the club had enjoyed.. On reflection had the title was lost on the second half performance in the game
against Derbyshire. The Arrows again played Cambridge in the playoffs, however unlike the previous season the Arrows failed to generate any real offense and a much improved Cambridge side ran out
comfortable 43-0 winners. It is a measure of the Arrows standards that whereas a lot of teams would be delighted with a second place finish, the Arrows classed this as failure.
