The Arrows were again placed in the South Western Conference of Division 2. Building on the promise of the previous 2 years the Arrows proved too
strong for the rest of the conference and posted a fine 9 wins and 1 Tie record to go undefeated for only the third time in their history.
The season started with the Arrows away to Nene Valley. In atrocious conditions the Arrows managed to hold onto the ball long enough to come away with
a 19-6. Opening their home schedule the following week the Arrows hoped to buld in this but a defensive battle saw the Arrows tie 6-6. From this point onwards the Arrows stepped up agear and with the
defense in sensational form saw the Arrows run off eight straight wins.
The successes were not however without difficulty. At Oxford the Arrows needed a 68 yard touchdown pass in the dying moments to seal the win and at
South Wales they found themselves 14-12 down with 6 minutes play. 21 unanswered points in these last 6 minutes turned th game on its head in a period of play that has been rarely bettered in the clubs
history.
Going into the playoffs the Arrows hosted Suusex Thunder at home. In a game full of twists the Arrows just fell short losing 22-23. On the day it was
difficult to seperate the 2 teams but the Arrows losing starting QB Dave Stanton for half the game may have been the deciding factor.
wOn Defense it is difficult to pick out start performers, the entire defense was sensational all season long, conceeding on 65
points in the regular season (some of which were offensive turnovers) whilst on Offence Anthony perkins scored a club record 20 touchdowns including three consequetive hat tricks.
